Brian L. Olson

Brian L. Olson is the director of Campus Safety & Security Services at Trinity International University. Olson came to Trinity as a college student in 1988. He joined the security staff part time in 1989 and moved to full time in 1993. In 2000, he became the director of Security.

While at Trinity, Olson earned a BA in Youth Ministry and an MDiv degree. During his time with the department he developed and implemented a comprehensive 24-hour coverage schedule, enhanced the regular training received by all officers, and worked to streamline the parking program. Olson also has more than ten years specialized experience in Martial Arts and Self-defense and is certified to teach such courses.

He and his family have attended Libertyville Evangelical Free Church for the past three years, where he is involved with the music ministry. Previously, they attended Cary-Grove Evangelical Free Church, where he was very involved in youth ministry. Brian and his wife, Kay, reside in Vernon Hills, Illinois, and have three children. Olson enjoys reading, relaxing in the outdoors, and anything science fiction, but mostly he enjoys spending time with family.
