Campus Safety and Security

Security Officer (Permanent Part-Time): The Campus Safety and Security department is seeking a permanent Part-Time Security Officer to work Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to integrity, be able to handle confidential matters and have the ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather. Security or military experience would be a strong positive. School of Education

Services Coordinator: The School of Education is seeking an individual to provide services to candidates and faculty within the department. This person will also be responsible for departmental assessment data coordination, special projects and the supervision of department assistants. A Bachelor's degree is required for this position, preferably in Education or a related field. The candidate should also have excellent project managment skills, and a be fluent in Word and Excel. University Clinical Practice Supervisors: (Part-Time)  The School of Education seeks qualified individuals to supervise teacher candidates in their clinical practice (student teaching) placements. Supervisors make at least five visits to observe the candidate teach in the school setting; each visit also includes a debriefing time with the candidate and cooperating teacher. The supervisor evaluates, educates, and ecourages the candidate by assessing lessons, providing feedback and suggestions for continued growth, and support and advocacy throughout the experience.  Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in education or the appropriate field, teacher certification, and appropriate classroom experience.  TIU is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America.
