Tenure Track Position in English

Trinity International University seeks a well-rounded candidate, with experience in teaching Renaissance and Romantic literature. Expectations include a strong Christian commitment, a Ph.D. in literature, college teaching experience, and on-going commitment to teaching general education courses in literature and writing. Teaching upper division courses, serving on committees, and advising English majors are also expected. Eight course annual teaching load. Assistant Professor of Athletic Training & Clinical Education Coordinator

The successful applicant will participate in all aspects of the CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education Program, maintain clinical education records; assessment of student performance during clinical education records; conduct regular site visits; develop new clinical education sites; and teach athletic training courses. Professional qualifications include a Masters or earned Doctorate (preferred) in Athletic Training or related discipline, 5 year (minimum) BOC certified, a minimum of 3 years experience in teaching (preferably as an Approved Clinical Instructor, ACI). Candidates must by knowledgeable of CAATE standards and guidelines and able to meet state of IL requirements for licensure. TIU is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America. School of Education

University Clinical Practice Supervisors: (Part-Time)  The School of Education seeks qualified individuals to supervise teacher candidates in their clinical practice (student teaching) placements. Supervisors make at least five visits to observe the candidate teach in the school setting; each visit also includes a debriefing time with the candidate and cooperating teacher. The supervisor evaluates, educates, and ecourages the candidate by assessing lessons, providing feedback and suggestions for continued growth, and support and advocacy throughout the experience.  Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in education or the appropriate field, teacher certification, and appropriate classroom experience.  Send resume to Dr. Karen Wrobbel, Director of the School of Education, Trinity International University, 2065 Half Day Road, Deerfield, IL 60015 or kwrobbel@tiu.edu  This is a part-time position.
