Interlibrary Loan

Materials not available at TIU usually may be obtained from other libraries. Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a service provided for current TIU students, faculty, and staff only. ILL requests should be made online through WorldCat or the article databases or by using the Article request form. Please ask a reference librarian for assistance.

Rolfing Titles
You may request a Rolfing title that is currently checked out by requesting it through
WorldCat. Required textbooks for TIU classes are not eligible for ILL borrowing.

Turnaround Time
Our current average borrowing time for books is 9.1 days and 8.4 days for articles. However, please allow more time as this is the average. It may take up to three weeks to obtain some titles.

Book Procedures
Books are charged to the patron when they arrive and may be picked up at the Circulation Counter. Due dates are set by the lending library. Renewals must be requested through the ILL office, or call 847.317.4008 before the book is due. Books should be returned to the ILL book bin outside the ILL office. Fines for ILL are 25¢ per day.

Article Procedures
ILL articles are available to patrons in electronic form. Articles are posted to a website, and patrons are e-mailed the site address and password. You will have 14 days and a limit of five times to read the article and download or print it. If you try and access it more than five times, the article disappears.

Limits
There may be a limit of 10 requests processed per day depending on the number of requests placed by all patrons.
