Kern Family Foundation MDiv Scholarships The Kern Family Foundation of Waukesha, Wisconsin, was founded in 1998 with the goal of trying to improve the core moral and spiritual values in our society. The foundation believes that one of the ways to accomplish this goal is by assisting in the strengthening of our country's local churches. The foundation also believes that one of the main keys to the strength and success of any church is the ability, strength, and devotion of its pastor. In an effort to keep our local churches strong and vibrant and to encourage more young people of excellence to enter the pastoral ministry, the Kern Family Foundation is providing a minimum of five full-tuition scholarships per year for three years for TEDS MDiv students who express a commitment to pastoring in a local church. To qualify for a scholarship, each student will need to fit specific criteria: Entering students only 27 years of age or younger Recent college graduate Accredited college GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale Committed to pastoring a local church U.S. citizen Commitment to attend a support and networking conference sponsored by the Kern Family Foundation with other scholarship recipients at the end of their second year A deep and abiding commitment to Jesus Christ, a genuine and authentic spirituality, demonstrated leadership ability, a love for people, and a willingness to serve the church
To retain the Kern Scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum 3.25 GPA in his course work. Application Deadline: Friday, March 21, 2008
