Melissa Lowrance, MEd
Melissa Lowrance is visiting assistant professor of Education at Trinity International University's Trinity College. She earned her BS in Elementary Education with a middle school endorsement at Greenville College and her MEd in Curriculum and Instruction at National-Louis University.
Professor Lowrance has more than eleven years of teaching experience as an elementary classroom teacher, a Technology Facilitator, and an Information Specialist in Community Consolidated School District 46. She received comprehensive technology training from ISBE as a recipient of the statewide Museum in the Classroom Grant. She has also presented her research on Student Inquiry at Illinois Technology Conference for Educators in St. Charles, Ilinois. As information specialist, she cowrote and implemented the district’s Information Literacy Curriculum for grades K-8. Prior to becoming a full-time faculty member, Professor Lowrance taught as adjunct faculty for Trinity Graduate School's MA/T program. Her current interests are helping teachers integrate technology into their curriculum and instruction and preparing students and teachers with twenty-first century skills.
Melissa Lowrance lives with her husband, Dan, and three daughters in Antioch, Illinois.
