Purpose of New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation facilitates a hospitable transition for new students and their families through a relevant and significant introduction to all aspects of life in the Trinity learning community.
Engagement in the week’s events is vital for a strong start to the collegiate career, as new students settle into their dorm rooms, take care of last-minute details, connect with professors, administrators, and fellow students, and are introduced to critical aspects of academic, spiritual, and social life in the Trinity Community.
New Student Orientation also provides parents with valuable opportunities to meet and engage with Trinity professors and administrators, those who will play a significant role in the intellectual, spiritual, and social life of their son or daughter. Opportunities to dialogue with other parents and local church leaders, and gaining a better understanding of what Trinity has to offer will enable them to assist their son or daughter in getting the most out of the Trinity experience. (Please note that the Dedication Service on Sunday marks the end of the family portion of the program.)
