Scholarships
These awards are given to those students who show merit and demonstrate ability in various areas of achievement. They do not require repayment.
Trinity Merit-based Scholarships
These scholarships recognize academic performance and are limited to one per student.
- The Kenneth Kantzer Honor Scholarship Multiple $11,000, $14,000 and $18,000 tuition awards are given each year to incoming freshmen who provide evidence of high academic achievement. These scholarships are competitive and are renewable for up to four years, based on academic performance (Trinity GPA of 3.5 or above) and continued progress toward completing Trinity's Honors Program. - The Alan & Susan Ruud Academic and Leadership Scholarship Multiple $11,000, $14,000 and $18,000 tuition scholarships are awarded annually to entering freshman who provide evidence of high achievement in academics and leadership. These scholarships are competitive and are renewable for up to four years, based on academic performance (Trinity GPA of 3.5 or better) and continued progress toward completing Trinity's Honors Program. The competition for this invitation-only scholarship closes by mid-February. For more information, contact the Admissions Office.
- The Presidential Academic Scholarship These scholarships require exceptional academic performance and are awarded by the Admissions Office. These $5,000 awards will be given each year to incoming students who have an ACT score of 28 or higher (1240 SAT) with a minimum high school GPA of 3.25 or who have a high school GPA of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale with a minimum ACT score of 24 (1090 SAT). Transfer students are also eligible if they have a cumulative college GPA of 3.75 or higher.
- The Dean’s Academic Scholarship These scholarships require outstanding academic performance and are awarded by the Admissions Office. These $2,500 awards will be given each year to incoming students who have an ACT score of 24-27 (1090-1230 SAT) with a high school GPA of 3.25-3.74 on a 4.0 scale or higher.
Trinity Ability-based Scholarships
These scholarships recognize athletic and musical performance and are awarded by the athletic and music departments respectively.
- Music Scholarships These scholarships are awarded to full-time students enrolled at Trinity who demonstrate outstanding musical ability. An audition and participation are required. For audition information, please visit the School of Music.
NOTE: The amount of these music scholarships will include all the institutional awards that the student is eligible for, excluding academic scholarships. The total amount of music and academic scholarships cannot exceed the cost of tuition and fees for any given academic year.
- Athletic Scholarships These scholarships are awarded to full-time students enrolled at Trinity who demonstrate outstanding athletic ability. Awards are given based on a recommendation from the coach and athletic director.
NOTE: The amount of these athletic scholarships will include all the institutional awards that the athlete is eligible for, excluding academic scholarships. The total amount of athletic and academic scholarships cannot exceed the cost of tuition and fees for any given academic year.
